The soul is stained by the color of your thoughts. ~Marcus Aurelius
Thanks again to Vera Marie Badertscher over at A Traveler's Library for sharing it with me.

Ooh, that's a good one, Jackie.
I read MEDITATIONS by Marcus Aurelius through twice yearly. Your blog is uplifting and thought-provoking. Thanks, Roland
Wow, Jackie, this quote is fantastic. Talk about inspiring and thought-provoking. I actually just wrote it down on a sticky note. :)
Thank you all. I love this quote and am grateful to Vera for sending it to me. It really comes in handy sometimes. For me, that's today.
Margarita, that's funny. I wrote it on a sticky note as well--a long time ago. The sticky part's wearing off.
Roland,
I just visited your blog. How did you get so many awards?! Very inspiring. I'll go back to read more now. And Vera did mention Meditations, but I've never read it. Sounds like I should.
so true about thoughts and how they affect us...we don't realize the power of our thought life!
I like the little quote by our friendly Winnie the Pooh,
"When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it"
SO True!
reminds me why I am not doing downer anything these days!
Barb, what color are your thoughts? :-)
Jackie, that is funny! I feel like my whole life is written on sticky notes - or envelopes from bills and credit card offers. :)
BTW, I was inspired by the quote and just published a post on it, if you'd like to check it out: http://www.self-ish.net/2010/06/04/the-color-of-our-thoughts/.
No pressure, though. :)
I've never heard this quote before Jackie.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
