No kids around. Otherwise, before that, it was pretty peaceful around the house, which made the whole experience even more surreal for all of us. Whatever else was going on was under the surface and pretty well hidden.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09505661913107994459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-792745986850454057.post-45046599577598211242012-05-21T11:28:31.941-07:002012-05-21T11:28:31.941-07:00Thanks Jackie for sharing your brave story. I often wondered why my son from another mother could lay around my home so peacefully, when he had so much more...room, house, toys, etc. In my home there was little money, but lots of love, trust, honesty and peace...so now it makes great sense...we had the very thing he needed. Together, you and I, gave our sons the things they needed to grow into the wonderful men, husbands and fathers they are today! We both traveled some rocky roads to get them there and they are stronger for our journey. Thanks so much for reading.

Jan, you won't believe what got me started in Toastmasters, other than the fact I'd tried it earlier in my life. I first took improv classes. Two months after my then-husband moved out (a month after he confessed to me his other life), I signed up for an 8-week improv class. I knew it would also help me regain a sense of self. So I started there. Toastmasters came a year later, I think. It's a good place to begin if you want to give public speaking a try. You'll learn a lot.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09505661913107994459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-792745986850454057.post-43014491613752582842012-05-16T09:29:30.780-07:002012-05-16T09:29:30.780-07:00I knew bits and pieces of your story but hadn'...I knew bits and pieces of your story but hadn't seen a big picture account of it until now.
